MediaCP Video offers the same features and functionality as other video integrations with higher stability and no added license cost. Highly Performant & Stable
MediaCP Video is deeply integrated into the Media Control Panel, purpose-built with stability and reliability at its core. Unlike other video integrations that rely on APIs, every component is developed and maintained in-house meaning fewer points of failure, faster updates, and no dependency on external platforms.
Key improvements over Nginx-Rtmp include a static RTMP ingest URL for consistent, predictable streaming, along with improved automatic player reconnection, so viewers stay connected without interruption.
Service Types
- Live Streaming handles RTMP ingest from OBS, Wirecast, or any broadcast encoder and delivers HLS output to viewers. Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) is supported, so the stream degrades gracefully on poor connections rather than breaking.
- Video On Demand lets you upload and manage a pre-recorded library alongside your live streams. The same panel handles both.
- TV Stations let you mix live feeds and VOD content into a scheduled linear channel useful for IPTV services or white-label TV products.
- Video Relay is the practical tool for IP cameras. Point it at any RTSP stream and it repackages the feed for web delivery. No extra software. The diagram above shows how a single camera feed becomes a live embed, an automatic recording, and a scheduled TV channel in one step.
Simulcasting
Push a single broadcast to multiple destinations simultaneously YouTube, Facebook, Twitch custom RTMP endpoints with full control over each target. Live status updates for stream targets show connection health in real time without requiring page reloads.
ABR Transcoding
MediaCP Video offers support for Video Transcoding allowing you to broadcast live video in multiple qualities to your audience, saving on bandwidth while delivering the best possible quality streams to each user’s specific device.
Webhooks
MediaCP Video includes powerful webhooks giving you real-time event-driven notifications and the ability to automate your operations. Proactively notify your team when broadcasts go offline. Celebrate going live by posting directly to your social media channels.
Rewind/DVR
Rewind is supported, letting viewers seek back through a live stream without waiting for it to end. DVR is configurable to allow setting a custom number of minutes that rewind should be allowed for.
Recording
This feature enables seamless archival of live events, webinars, and streaming content without manual intervention or third-party recording solutions. Recorded content can then be scheduled on TV Stations or VOD.
Player
MediaCP Video uses a modern player that can be directly embedded on websites for more seamless integration. Auto-play, automatic retry on stream drop, and customisable offline message are all configurable per service.
The VOD player includes a playlist sidebar that lets viewers browse and select content from a library. The VOD Player sidebar is hidden by default with a toggle button for a clean, user-friendly playlist selection.
Historical Reporting
MediaCP Video supports advanced historical reporting with a modern and dynamic VueJS front-end with loading of data on a per-tab basis allowing for a quick and responsive feel. The interface features sortable data tables, export buttons, and dynamically loaded data available across many of the reports.
Stream Security
Domain Lock restricts a live stream or VOD asset to approved domains using CORS headers and referrer validation. Requests that don’t originate from a whitelisted domain are rejected before reaching the player. Country Locking is also available per service allowing for restriction based on region
