Statistics

Last updated 2 years ago

The Statistics tab provides advanced configuration for Historical Reporting and Statistics.

Historical Reporting heavily utilises the database with millions of records, as such caching is required to improve performance and server stability. An increase in caching time may improve CPU and Memory consumption and a reduction in caching time will do the opposite.

Historical Reporting requires high performant SSD disks to operate. If the system disks have high latency then the MediaCP may not perform ideally. If the MediaCP or database server is frequently having difficulty, then it is recommended to disable Historical Reporting.

  • Historical Reporting – Disabling historical reporting will no longer process listener and viewer records into the database.
  • Global Statistics Scheduled Task – A task runs twice daily to cache the information provided on the Media Services Reporting pages. The scheduled task may increase CPU, Disk & Memory usage twice per day however if disabled, accessing the Reporting page may take a long time to load and/or timeout.
  • Global Statistics Cache Refresh – A task will run every 2 hours (default) to process and cache total streaming connections, bandwidth and other information found on the Statistics page.
