VAST Advertising

VAST Advertising

MediaCP offers support for VAST and VMAP Advertising on video streaming services.

Monetization is getting paid for the broadcasts you publish online. The more people that watch, the grater your earnings. Broadcasters can generate revenue from their broadcasts by inserting ads at the beginning of the broadcast (pre-roll) and during the broadcast (mid-roll).

Advertisements are displayed Client Side only when using the iFrame Player. Advertisements are not published to Publishers such as Facebook or Youtube.

Important Information

VAST Advertising must be first enabled as a Service Feature

Your administrator must first enable the VAST Advertising Feature from Service -> Configure -> Features tab.

*This feature is exclusive to Video Unlimited Licenses

iFrame player is required for advertising to be shown.

Configure VAST Advertising

From the Features section you can input a compatible VAST/VMAP URL.

You will need to restart the service in order for these settings to be applied.

You can use these example VMAPs for testing

Some popular options for advertising networks are Adsterra and Google

AdBlock can stop videos from being played back, however your Advertising Network can often provide a special ad URL to prevent this. Typically, most users consume video on mobile devices or tablets which do not contain AdBlock features.
